As many of you know, Meta released their Twitter competitor this past week. And it was bananas.
Millions of users signing up within hours.
It was quite the record.
Ever since I’ve been louder and more committed about building a digital audience this year, I’ve found myself more connected to the pulse of social media.
The algorithms,
The daily posts on LinkedIn,
The trending topics,
And now figuring out Threads.
It can all feel overwhelming.
How can I, as a creator, maintain the purity of my intention?
And that is simply, to create?
When I signed up, I felt the exhilaration due to the novelty of it. I felt a rush of excitement as I created multiple posts per day. It’s this familiar feeling of chasing.
Chasing likes,
Comments,
Engagements,
Followers…
This is how you win at the social media game.
It’s all about numbers.
I felt my body step into dis-ease a few times while engaging the new app. For me, it felt a bit like being left behind.
